Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has rolled out its new bike. The company has launched the special edition of its premium range bike, Karizma, as the Centennial Edition. It was brought out immediately after the company’s founder-chairman Dr. Brijmohan Lall turned 100 years old.
This is a limited edition bike, and Hero Moto Corp has announced that only 100 units will be made available to make it available to just 100 buyers. One more major point is that the firm will not sell this bike—the buyer’s reach might reach the Hero showroom or dealership; instead, it will sell through an auction procedure only. Only company employees, shareholders, business partners, and associates will come under this auction. Deliveries of the bike are promised next September following the auction.
There aren’t any changes to the engine on this Karizma Special Edition. It continues the same motor that’s running the Karizma XMR. This bike comes with a 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder that churns out 25.4 hp and 20.4 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Safety features abound on this motorcycle, which will come with dual-channel ABS and dual disc brakes.
Karizma Centennial Special Edition comes loaded with several premium spare parts. The bike is based on a design inclusive of a semi-fairing, carbon fiber, hydroformed single tube handlebar, milled aluminum swing arm, and fully adjustable suspension of an Akrapovic exhaust. Much of the advantage of carbon fiber use lies in the reduced weight that increases the performance of the bike. Besides, the bike will come in gray and red with dual disc brakes. Added features include full LED lighting, a large windscreen, aerodynamic back and side panels, and front-mounted mirrors.
