“Miss Universe 2023: Sheynnis Palacios’ Historic Win and Global Representation”

The Miss Universe 2023 pageant concluded with a historic win, crowning Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua as the new Miss Universe. The event, held at the Jose Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador, saw Palacios become the first Nicaraguan woman to win this prestigious title. The pageant was marked by the presence of contestants from 84 countries and territories, showcasing a diverse array of beauty, talent, and cultural representation.

Australia’s Moraya Wilson and Thailand’s Anntonia Porsild were named the second runner-up and first runner-up, respectively. Notably, this year also saw the debut of Pakistan in the Miss Universe pageant. Representing India was Chandigarh-born Shweta Sharda, who made it to the top 20 finalists. The 72nd Miss Universe pageant was hosted by notable American television personalities Jeannie Mai, Olivia Culpo (Miss Universe 2012), and Maria Menounos, adding glamour to an already star-studded event.
